Houston Rents Rise as Demand Grows

Rising population propped up demand, pushing rents up 0.7 percent Y-o-Y to $1,351 as of January. Developers are acting to bring housing online to meet demand, with construction starts increasing 16 percent last year from their 2022 levels.
