Preleasing Starts Out Strong, Rent Growth Trails
Preleasing reached 47.1% in December 2024 for the Yardi 200 schools, ahead of trended 39.7% in December 2023 but on par with the preleasing pace at this time last year. However, rent growth has slowed, with operators in certain markets growing more conservative but the sector continuing to benefit from accelerating enrollment growth and a reduced supply pipeline.
