Matrix Bulletin-Self Storage Forecast-Q4 2024
Despite a slowdown in new construction starts through mid-year 2024, the self storage under-construction pipeline increased on a year-over-year basis. The Q4 forecast update has therefore increased new supply for 2025 by 7.8%, and for 2026 by 6.0%. Yardi Matrix advertised rent and development pipeline data continue to suggest an overall deceleration in long-term self storage development interest.

Matrix Research Bulletin-Multifamily Forecast-Q4 2024
Yardi Matrix's development pipeline data continues to indicate declining multifamily development activity. New-construction starts have bottomed at an approximate annualized rate roughly 50% below the levels recorded in 2022 and early 2023. Elevated completion times, however, leave a still-sizable under-construction pipeline.

Matrix RVBoat Storage National Report-Fall 2024
RV and boat storage parking rents have declined since the last report, reflecting the seasonality of the sector. Year-over-year growth dropped to -1.1% from -0.5% in June, with month-over-month declines more severe in Q3 this year than last year.
