Portland’s tentative turn
Portland advertised asking rents rose 0.4 percent on a T3 basis in August to $1,761, the strongest performance since July 2024, but remained down 0.6 percent YoY. Softer occupancy and employment tempered improvement, while falling starts pointed to easing supply pressure.
