Student housing preleasing continued to match last year\u2019s record pace, according to the latest Yardi Matrix national student housing market report.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Preleasing matches last year\u2019s pace<\/h2>\n

    As of May, preleasing at Yardi 200 universities hit 80%, marking a 10-basis-point increase compared to the same period in 2023. Even though the first part of the season preleasing started stronger than in the previous year, it largely followed last year\u2019s record pace over the past few months. Experts predict that FAFSA processing has already impacted and could continue to affect the pace of preleasing.<\/p>\n
